What is the European Projectweek?
- Schools open their curriculum/teaching for students of other schools/countries for one week
- If possible: work placement in organisations or facilities, where the students work directly with the clients for the duration of 1 week
- Time: second week in April (depends on Easter holidays)
- Joint teaching of studients with different backgrounds (schools, nationalities, cultures,…)
- Since 2001 more than 1500 students took part in this kind of exchange
Which benefits do students have?
- Experiences and exchange: getting to know people (students and teachers) from different countries and schools
- Glance at teaching and learning in social care and also at the social care sector in a different country.
- Short and reasonable opportunity for learning experiences outside of the own school/Country
How much is it for students?
- Travelcosts
- Possible costs for lodging (if there is no possibility to stay at student´s homes)
- Small material costs or other organisational contributions
What are the tasks to fulfill for participating schools?
- Schools offer an interesting programme for foreign students
- Organisation of exchange (How many students will go away for the week? How many students will take part in the course?
- Contact and collaboration with coordinating office of Fachschule für Heilerziehung, Hamburg
- Paying organisational fee: EUR 50,-
- Organisation of lodging and accomodation for the students (not compulsory)
How do schools benefit from taking part in the Eurpean Projectweek?
- Experience and contact with different schools and teaching, cultural exchange
- Asset of having an exchange within the curriculum
- Experience for students who do a parttime-study education and cannot leave the country for several weeks
- Low budget project with little expenditures in terms of time, money and committment
- First steps towards a full funded European funded programme . Contacts and experience for longer foreign practical training.
